  LBF Privacy Policy
LBF Privacy Policy - It has always been the policy of LBF INTERNATIONAL TAX LLC to keep all information that LBF collects from clients confidential from all sources. LBF restricts access to all nonpublic personal information about clients to members of LBF who need to know that information to provide services to clients. LBF does collect nonpublic personal information about clients from the following sources:
  • Information LBF receives directly from clients on tax preparation organizers, worksheets, Federal and State tax reporting forms, and from other documents used in tax preparation or other financial and related services.
  • Information about client transactions with LBF, its affiliates, and others.
  • Information LBF may receive from outside agencies such as banks and brokerage houses.

 

LBF does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about their clients or former clients, except as permitted, required or approved by clients in writing as listed below:

  • Requirements to comply with Federal, state or local law,
  • Requirements to comply with National, State or local licensing rules,
  • Requirements to disclose information in response to legal subpoenas,
  • Items clients permit or request LBF to disclose, as authorized by clients in writing,
  • Information, that clients authorize LBF to disclose by signing an engagement letter, to electronically file a tax return, when applicable,
  • Information, that clients authorize LBF to disclose by signing an engagement letter, that discloses that he/she is an LBF client, without disclosure of financial or other personal information.

 

LBF Refund Policy - LBF customers are encouraged to fully evaluate LBF International Tax LLC and their services prior to engaging LBF in the tax preparation process. Evaluation may be done by testing online preparation engine through estimation of tax liability or tax refund, reviewing client testimonials, investigating the background of the founders or by any other means available. LBF services purchased through the website are generally NOT refundable. As an exception, 90% of the initial payment for the services may be refunded to a client:

  • If no more than 10 days after the online questionnaire is completed
  • If any of the source documents have not been submitted
  • If no consultant help has been requested

Fraudulent Credit Card Charges or Fraudulent Claims - All requests to negate charges are investigated by our technical department and legal department. If you make a fraudulent claim of unauthorized card usage, we will report this to the credit card services. This report may result in cancellation of your card services, put negative information on your credit report, and create possible criminal charges that may be filed against you.
